Punxsutawney Phil said we're getting 6 more weeks of winter in the US, but it's not feeling like winter in Oklahoma today. High temperatures will be in the 60s with increasing clouds. Today is a great day to go get a car wash! Groundhog Day Forecast

Our next chance of precipitation will come through late Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. Most of us will see some light rain showers, but with temperatures flirting with 32, there could be some mixing that could occur. #okwx

We've seen more grassfires the past few days, including this one along I-35 today in Guthrie. With the warm temperatures and drought conditions, we'll be talking more about this. Thankfully, some rain returns to the forecast next week. #okwx

This weekend still looks nice with mild temperatures. We could see a small chance of showers Sunday morning, but the rest of the day should be dry with more sunshine. #okwx

We are tracking a few chances for some rain into next week especially by Friday with incoming systems. Any rainfall next week will be helpful for areas of Oklahoma in moderate to extreme levels of drought. #okwx

Parts of northwestern Oklahoma could see elevated fire weather conditions throughout the afternoon tomorrow. This is due to the warmer temperatures, higher wind gusts, and low relative humidity levels being possible. #okwx

Meteorologist Carlyn McCreary took this video of a fire as her plane departed Will Rogers earlier today. Fire danger will remain through the evening, but thankfully some rain is in the forecast this week. #okwx

We will continue to monitor the fire conditions going into the evening, but a cold front will arrive early Tuesday morning that brings rain showers behind it. Not everyone will see rain, but at least it's a chance. #okwx

Many municipalities have local elections occuring Tuesday. While it will be cooler tomorrow in the low 60s, temperatures will still be almost 10 degrees warmer than average. Any rain should hold off until later in the day. #okwx
