2016 vintage "Days of Creation" sour red ale by Thornbridge Brewery Tart and vinous at first with apple & champagne notes, then the raspberries come through. As it warms it mellows and opens up, the malts come through and it develops a long rich burgundy linger. Magical #NotBeerBods

Biscoff Chocolate Brownie Pastry Stout by Yonder Brewing & Blending There's something faintly metallic on the nose but it tastes rich and chocolatey with just a touch of biscoff flavour coming through and growing more decadent as it warms. #NotBeerBods

Gone early with Baker's Dozen Brew Co "Kings Red", a 4.5% dry hopped hibiscus wheat beer The hibiscus is subtle but present as a lifting floral note and a little zing in the linger. Lovely, but I think one will be enough #NotBeerBods

"Hadouken" 6.2% Amplified IPA by Tiny Rebel Not sure how it's 'amplified' but it has punchy citrus and stonefruit flavours and a resinous bitterness. Dangerously drinkable at the ABV; I could enjoy (and tomorrow regret) sinking several #NotBeerBods

If you agree with this opinion in the The Daily Telegraph I would appreciate a repost…

This is Thornbridge Brewery "The Heart Desires" 2016 vintage 6.5% sour blonde ale. Fresh zingy and sourness gives way to subtle farmhouse ale flavours, finishing with a powerful vinous linger. This is truly magnificent! #NotBeerBods

Gone early. Thornbridge Brewery DDH Jaipur to accompany a lentil dahl. What's not to like? #NotBeerBods

Gone early with a can of Thornbridge Brewery "Astryd". It is fresh, grassy and floral with simcoe, crystal and mosaic. Doesn't blow me away but at 3.8% it's the very definition of a session beer. I could drink this all day in summer and be all the happier for it. #NotBeerBods

This is Elusive Brewing 8% "Double Sunset Oregon Trail" double red IPA. Fruity with a deep, slightly peppery, earthiness from the rye and a long better finish. This is very nice, and drinkable in a way that belies its ABV. #NotBeerBods

Tonight it's Magic Rock Brewing "Saucery" session IPA. I've had this plenty of times and it's always reliable - great tasting, properly bitter the way an IPA should be and with oats in the grain bill has a heft that belies a genuinely sessionable 3.9% ABV. Magic! #NotBeerBods

I'm on Cloudwater Brew Co "Hooked on Superdelic", a 7% DDH IPA brewed with Superdelic, an 'ancestral' hop varietal that is new to me. I get a bit of the red candy and pomegranate it notes but it feels over hopped - with everything up to 11 it's hard to differentiate. #NotBeerBods

Chosen entirely for the name and awesome can art, this is Dark Revolution 4.5% "Sweater Weather". Hopped with Galaxy, Idaho 7 and Loral (new to me) it's a proper bitter, soft (oats) and hazy with light floral notes and not too much citrus. Would defo have another! #notbeerbods

Popped in to West Road Tap to grab a beer for later, so I'd best have a cheeky half while I'm here: 6% Black Iris Brewery "A Glimpse of Myself on Fire" mango coconut sour. Tropical, vinous, zingy and refreshing. Like drinking a sherbet Solero! #NotBeerBods

And the beer I grabbed for later was Elusive Brewing "Genesis" 5% Simcoe Pale Ale. Loads of resinous pine, a fruity body and an orange blossom floral finish. Eminently drinkable! #NotBeerBods

I'm still feeling crap after last night's migraine so I've gone NA with Lucky Saint 0.5% Lemon Lager. A refreshing lager top of an NA. Lovely! #NotBeerBods

Always love a good naming convention - Verdant Brewing Co 🍻 "Unlike Stars" and "Planets Don't Twinkle". The first is a 6.5% sabro, mosaic, galaxy and Idaho7 IPA. Grassy nose, very hoppy but stops just this side of too much, with a surprisingly mellow fruity linger. #NotBeerBods

I love NZ hops. Verdant Brewing Co 🍻 "Flux: Phase 1" 5.2% pale showcases Nelson Sauvin beautifully. Initial sharp bitterness gives way to fruity gooseberry and mango with a sharp vinous linger. Wish I'd grabbed Phase 2 (Nectaron) and 3 (NZH-101) too! #NotBeerBods

The kids got me some WildeChildBrewingCo. for Father's Day. Feels like the right weather for "The Magic Flute" 4.8% Vienna Lager. Light and refreshing, really toasty malt with loads of flavour, clean finish. It's what a lager should be. #NotBeerBods
