This makes me appreciate the 'inspire' trait in PES2021. When good passers take possession of the ball, other players are inspired to make piercing runs behind defense because they know that player has the ability to find them in that space.

They should change it to 'Best player on the team that won the Champions League'. Also, whoever made ALL the highlights edits during the ceremony did a horrible job. Showed the worst of each player's goals and skills (expect Declan Rice lol). Even Ronaldinho wasn't spared.

As someone who tore his ACL during a "Sunday League-tier" game, and had to go through surgery and rehab, I can imagine how devastating that is for an 18 year old who just moved to probably the best team in the world, and just put on a spectacular performance on his debut.

An interesting application for touchpads in footy games: Swiping into a particular direction sends an off-ball player on a run in that exact direction. Problem is, only Valve is pushing for touchpads on controllers, so it wouldn't be worth it for a developer to implement that.

Interesting. What I hated about FC/FIFA was how it never seemed to be made for manual controls, unlike PES. It's nice to see some full manual users playing the game. Maybe I'll give it a shot if a few mods come out to fix the super easy turning and twitchy movement.
