Again: The announcements of likely job cuts at McClatchy and VICE today -- 450 and 250 media positions respectively -- are coming (as have the many other recent ones) in a healthy economy. It's terrifying to think will what happen when a recession hits.

Apparently when the authorities create a “press conference” area it does NOT mean “a place where the media can obtain information”. It seems this State Trooper believes it means “media corral”, in which we MUST stay and not roam about the city gathering our own.
