As a caregiver for someone with dementia, I think it’s important for people to know & understand a few things. Even in the early stages of the disease, someone with Dementia/Alzheimer’s can wander off & get lost. They don’t need to be left alone.

It’s essential to child-proof the house so they can’t “sneak out.” With this disease, you can be lucid one moment and have no clue where you are just seconds later. Too many people are going missing & I want to bring awareness!
