You know what #T1Diabetes is? Relentless And your role as a specialist- in a system where the “patient voice” are still mostly sound bytes? Is to battle for those you look after. For funds, for recognition, for focus That is the job. Tip from me? Keep at it 💙

Did you know #T1Diabetes need #Insulin life long? So WHY do some systems give scripts for insulin every 4 or 6 weeks? Some seem to have it sussed with automatic repeat scripts Why isn’t that universal? Another absolute bonkers thing which increase workload for GP colleagues

best its consistently been my whole “diabetic” life! Yet the drs will never say “well done”, they will just pick & criticise evry blip. I bet a non-T1D pregnant woman would struggle to have these stats! 🤷‍♀️. It’s no wonder some people give up #NHSLanguageMatters #type1diabetes

So far my pregnancy journey has been horrid. The majority of my experience with the NHS teams has been negative. I’ve been left feeling like an incompetent naughty child. I’ve been told off so many times for so many different things. Even the MH team!! #wasgood now I’m #Miserable
