Very sorry to learn of the untimely death of Fred Baker, the talented Anglo-Austrian film-maker, historian and cultural curator. Had great times on BBC film projects in the 1990s and remained close friends ever since. RIP. #frederickbaker

Harold Boley, of RuleML fame, passed away. He was a remarkable researcher. He would work 7 days a week, for long hours, though he would stop for tea every afternoon. He had a seemingly endless supply of energy, always talking very fast, and he was generally adorable.
