Rochester Police have confirmed they are investigating a possible person in the Genesee River near Andrews St. Several resources are working on scene from RPD, RFD, NYSP and Irondequoit PD.  RPD says updates will come at a later time. We have crews on scene working to learn more.

News10NBC No updates from RPD as of yet. A helicopter has been circling overhead since I got here, and family that we’ve seen at the scene seem emotional and distraught.

News10NBC UPDATE: RPD confirms that a young boy, about 5-years-old, did fall into the Genesee River from the Andrews St. bridge while on a walk with his mother and younger sibling. As of now, they have not found him.
