我们一年半之前（22年12月）基于传统的柏簇体创作了一款无线衬风格的藏文字体。测试版本暂命名为KhaWa Sans Beta。We announced the beta version of a sans-serif font, KhaWa Sans 1.5 years ago. The design is based on traditional Betsugs calligraphy.

Starting today, KhaWaType will share the feedback we have received and the solutions we have implemented over the past two years since our launch. We hope that these design experiences will help inspire more people in their pursuit of Tibetan font design in the future.

When we released the beta version, in order to popularize the newly translated Tibetan terms by @ཕུན་ཚོགས་དབང་རྒྱལ། and ︎དོན་གྲུབ།☻Dorjee (དོན་གྲུབ་རྡོ་རྗེ།). We deliberately filled the Tibetan font style descriptions, such as སྦོམ་པོ་བཙུར་མ། Bold Condensed, into the English…

According to the needs of modern Tibetan, we have added more glyphs support for transliterations (eg. padma, fa, va, etc.). After this update, if you encounter other Sanskrit ligatures that need to be displayed, please continue to let us know and we will do our best to add them.

Since the release of the beta version, we have received a lot of feedback from Tibetan designers on the use of the font. The following are all suggestions we adopted in the formal release version.

We added 5 more punctuation marks and corrected kerning behaviors among these marks.

チベット文字のウメ体のサンセリフを作った話。自分の分野の話だけあって今のところ一番興味深かった。 ウチェン体ばかり書体化される一方でウメは近代化の試みがまったくなかったので、需要があることが確認できて嬉しい。
