My statement on the Manchester Synagogue attack today.

The Leader of the Council Kam Rai has issued a statement following today's attack at the Heaton Park Synagogue in Manchester.

Good morning reds. Congratulations to Chelsea. The game could have gone either way. We played some great football at times. Relationships are definitely forming. We are starting to create chances. It’s building slowly. Two late goals kills the games and 6 points lost. COYR

This attack on a Mosque is terrible, I’m glad no one was hurt. Everyone must challenge hatred and bigotry, too many people appear to be willing to let things pass when it’s against another group. Decent people must step up and be courageous.

Absolutely terrifying, Mosque in East Sussex set alight, a targeted Islamophobic hate crime. I’m glad no one has been harmed, but for the Community it will be devastating, the reality and consequences of a growing climate of hate. I hope the government will take robust action.

We condemn the Islamophobic arson attack on an East Sussex Mosque. We advise the community to remain vigilant, but do not live in fear. We will continue to stand up for peace & justice, for our faith and for others, and for our home in this United Kingdom.
