Thanks to @DeafMatters for coming to Kent and providing training on voiceover to BSL interpreters. A great session challenging ourselves on how we interpret from BSL to spoken English, and trying out interpreting to different audiences 😁

It is very worrying to see role shift being used less and less :( this is the fundamental part of British Sign Language. I do pray and hope it is still being taught correctly. I believe that without using roleshift BSL will just become a meaningless language

ASLI is saddened to learn of the passing of Harlan Lane. Considered a huge ally of the deaf community, Lane will be remembered for his various publications including When The Mind Hears. Our condolences go out to his family, friends and colleagues at this sad time.
