📢📢First lettuce harvest of the year! All the lettuces and herbs in the pictures are grown in our greenhouse as part of the ProjectSAFEeu, using the fish wastewater as fertiliser in a perfect example of circular economy 🐟🌍🌱

📢Not only aquaponics⚡️ Thanks to the ProjectSAFEeu we are growing redworm 🪱 using duckweed and fish wastewater sludge! When the redworm are ready they will be used as a replacement for fishmeal in the production of a sustainable experimental fish feed 🐟🌍🌱

📢📢It is harvest time for our aquaponics hops ⚡️thanks to the ProjectSAFEeu we have the opportunity to further explore the potential of hops to absorb the nutrients present in the fish wastewater from our ras system🐟🌱🍻

📣 Have you ever thought about freezing your fish wastewater? 👉in this way we allow it to slowly release the nutrients into our aquaponics unit as high levels of Ammonia can be harmful to plants and damage their roots system ⭐ All this thanks to ProjectSAFEeu
