Keysor was so lucky to have Audrey Vernick visit on Friday. She gave three presentations and met with a group of students for lunch. She gave lots of great advice about writing. @yourbuffalo

Thanks The Novel Neighbor for hosting the #OMGMO teacher event tonight. I met 20+ authors, including Gordon Korman, and bought lots of books, autographed to Keysor kids. #keysorpride

When it’s hot outside, Dog Man likes to chill at the pool. He is working up his nerve to jump off the diving board, just like Jabari in the book “Jabari Jumps” by Gaia Cornwall. This is a great book about facing fears. #dogmansummerreading

Dog Man visited the St. Louis Science Center to check out the Pompeii exhibit. He brought along the book “I Survived the Destruction of Pompeii” by Lauren Tarshis. The I Survived series includes many historical fiction books about disasters through the ages. #dogmansummerreading

Dog Man enjoyed a fun summer night at Circus Flora. His favorite act is the trapeze artists, so he brought along the first book in the Louise Trapeze series by Micol Ostow. This is a great early chapter-book series. #dogmansummerreading #circusflora

Dog Man visited some friends at camp today, and he brought along a great book to read- “Spy Camp” by Stuart Gibbs. Dog Man hopes any Keysor campers are having great adventures this summer, even if they don’t include spy survival skills. #dogmansummerreading

Dog Man has been busy working in his garden this summer. Today he is enjoying the book “Water, Wait, and Weed” by Edith Hope Fine. All of his hard work pays off as he is seeing many pollinators visiting his garden, some of them even Keysor honeybees. ❤️🐝🌱 #dogmansummerreading

Dog Man is vacationing Up North and is hoping to catch some fish. He brought along a nonfiction book about fishing to get some tips. The bluegills and perch were biting this evening. #dogmansummerreading

Dog Man explored the sites of Walnut Grove, Minnesota while reading the book “On the Banks of Plum Creek” by Laura Ingalls Wilder. This is the fourth in the Little House series and takes place in Walnut Grove. The book describes growing up on the prairie. #dogmansummerreading

One of my character's bedrooms was looking too bland, so I designed a rug for her. Being a graphic novelist means being an interior decorator, wardrobe consultant, hairstylist, location scout, and now, textile designer... and I LOVE IT.
