Full house tonight all first time calvers. All calves after home breed stock bull he was a Norwegian red out of a Holstein cow bringing lots of heifers 7 out of 9 female calves so far.

All nearly off milk now. Had to rear them because of f..kin tb. #organic

3 weeks later grass is slowly but surely growing.

First of the heifer calves out left them in longer this year on milk for 90 days as per the organic standard but fed more each day than other years and it’s definitely standing to them I think. Irish Organic Association
