Busy week of recon in Rwanda through IVUmed with Jeremy B. Myers and Andy Mohapatra. 1 clinic day and 5 OR days. 18 cases: 12 posterior urethroplasties, 3 anteriors, 2 mitrofanoffs, and a bladder augment. Special thanks to our hosts NSABIMANA Emmanuel, Theo Ndanga Ndayishimye, and Edouard.

Kicking off another GURS Annual meeting with our Utah Fellows dinners. Going on a decade of GU reconstruction fellows under Jeremy B. Myers. Missing Rano Matta, Ross_Anderson_MD, and Phil Cheng.

Congrats to Seth Swinney on winning best poster in the #SESAUA2024 recon session. In a survey of GURS members performing benign cystectomies we found inconsistent periop practice patterns related to ERAS, nutrition screening, and postop pathways. GURS LSU Health Shreveport Urology

Excited to be back in Rwanda with our University Teaching Hospital of Kigali/CHUK colleagues for a joint GU-IMPACTS and IVUmed GU reconstruction surgery workshop. A great week of complex urethroplasties and GU TB cases ahead.

Great 2025 urology match LSU Health Shreveport! Looking forward to training and learning from these two!

Missing 3-4 fellows, but always great to reconnect with my University of Utah Urology Recon family at #AUA2025. Good food and better people.

Among >140k #prostatecancer radiation tx pts in the Vizient, Inc. database, 21% rate of cystitis, with much higher rates by age, race & social vulnerability #aua25

Wrapped up another IVUmed GU-IMPACTS urologic reconstruction surgical workshop with our colleagues at University Teaching Hospital of Kigali/CHUK. GU-IMPACTS is committed to four workshops a year. Next trip October 2025!
