1/ An interesting case we saw, now published in the most recent issue of CMAJ: A middle aged woman had a 2 year history of episodic somnolence, falls, slurred speech & the appearance of intoxication, but with no reported drug or alcohol use. She had multiple visits to her family

IVC assessments were the “hot new thing” in POCUS when I was a fellow. Today, it’s a very small component of my practice. There are too many variables involved to help one make a volume status decision based solely on this. 🎩 tip to the authors. eddyjoemd.com/foamed/

Canadian universities produce approximately 3,000 Primary Care Physicians each year but only 100 Physician Assistants (PAs). It takes 2 years to become a PA. Wouldn't it make sense to produce a lot more PAs quickly to enable greater efficiency in primary care?
