The Columbia Falls City Council just rejected the 7030 Hwy 2 Residences development by a 5-2 margin. Councilors Mike Shepard and Darin Fisher were the only votes in support of the project east of the Flathead River.

This marks the earliest opening of the full length of the Sun Road since 2001.
