We don’t serve a do-nothing God. He’s working. You’ll see. Don’t give up. He may not write the story you thought.
Just remember... He loves us too much to limit His redemption to only what we can think up.
Now... it’s time to get some rest. ❤
It’s not wrong to need people. God made us to have relationships. But we’re setting ourselves up for disappointment when we feel like we won’t be able to breathe unless someone else makes us feel loved. Noticed. Accepted.
We can’t expect any other person to be our soul oxygen.
Father, we call upon Your name to protect and care for the Ukrainians. Have mercy on those whose lives have been disrupted & homes forsaken. Remember the children who are victims of choices beyond their control. Let the evil of greed be met with the lavishness of Your grace.
God is good at being God.
We don’t have to try to fix what He hasn’t assigned us to fix. No need to manipulate, control or spend all our emotions trying to figure it out.
We can let Him be God & free ourselves from the impossible assignment of trying to keep it all together.
You are fully known and fully loved by a God whose greatest joy is to be with you.
I pray these truths flood your heart with peace. Peace that gives you permission to live like you are loved.
Because you are.
Deeply. Abundantly. With a love that will not fail.
God is our possible in the midst of what can sometimes feel so impossible. He is our hope in the midst of all that looks hopeless.
“Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.” Psalms 25:5
We may not know what someone is walking through. But one thing I do know is we all have tear stains on our pillow.
And your unusual kindness, patience, or grace may be the very thing God uses to reach inside their desperation and help them believe He hears their prayers.
No matter how impossible that miracle you are praying for seems, please trust that only God knows the full story. He is working. He is hearing and shifting and intervening and convicting and stirring and doing what only He can do.
That thing you're trying to trust God with? That prayer you keep whispering over and over? Take it one day at a time. We can't let fears about tomorrow steal our joy for today. Our God is a trustworthy God.
God knows things we don’t. And that means we can trust His perspective instead of our own understanding.
"As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:9
Healing is such a process. And when more hurtful things happen in the midst of our healing, it’s only natural for bitterness to come knocking.
But I’m learning that bitterness doesn’t protect me or prove anything. It only turns me into someone I don’t want to be.
God’s promises for you are in process. Right now. Even in circumstances you can’t see any evidence of good yet.
Remember, “not yet” doesn’t mean “not ever.”
Keep holding on, friend. God isn’t done with your story.
The peace of our souls does not have to rise and fall with unpredictable people or situations.
Our feelings will shift. People do affect us. But the peace of our souls can be tethered to all that God is. We can let His Word wrap around our souls with steady assurance.
God is always doing something.
Keep trusting Him. He sees you. He loves you. And He knows exactly what needs to happen in every detail of your story. You do not serve a do-nothing God.
The more we follow Jesus, the more we fall in love with Him, want to obey Him, experience life with Him, and become a beacon of light to others through Him.
Following Him is the very thing our souls were created to do.
