There’s a growing international consensus that action must be taken to end the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. This is why I have joined over 200 legislators from 13 of Israel’s top military partners to call for an immediate arms embargo.

Unelected monarch. Unelected House of Lords. And now over to our unelected prime minister for an announcement on protecting democracy.

The mask has really dropped now, if there were any doubt who the real extremists are, it is #Sunak's government - threatening to take visas off protesters and stirring up anti-Muslim hate.

To tackle hatred, leaders must be willing to call it out. The PM refused this week to condemn Lee Anderson and Suella Braverman's comments as Islamaphobic. Peaceful protest is at the heart of our democracy. We will always resist attempts to curtail those fundamental freedoms.

The UK government's attack on freedom of expression must stop 🚨 Threats of more restrictions suggest the UK govt are determined to silence anyone who may disagree with their policies. Conflating overwhelmingly peaceful protests with extremism is wrong. 🧵

#BBCLauraK platforms the inane burblings of Lord Walney (a Tory-appointed peer) saying Labour MPs and cllrs should cut all ties with the Palestine Solidarity Campaign. They're trying to ban solidarity with a people being massacred, ethnically-cleansed and starved. Perverse!

Horrific reports confirmed that, over the last few days only, at least 10 children died of malnutrition in #Gaza These deaths are man-made, predictable and entirely preventable. #Gaza has become hell on earth. When will the world say "enough"?

I feel like I'm going to say this a lot this election season but labour needs to stop pandering to the tory voters and start proving to disabled people they'll take us out of these desperate times cos atm many disabled people will struggle to vote for them based on this

The government is seeking new powers for mass surveillance of the bank accounts of millions of benefit claimants to “scan for fraud.” Congrats to every politician and pundit who peddled the scrounger myth. This is where you took us. theguardian.com/society/2024/m…

When people look back at history and say how did they allow XYZ to happen. This is how... it's a slippery slope into authoritarianism Curbing protests, who elected officials can speak to and who the police arrests. This should worry us all. #GeneralElectionN0W

£5bn of *further* cuts to public spending would be devastating. Labour has to be clear: they will not implement these cuts. Either break/change the "fiscal rule", or raise taxes on the richest. Or both. This is a bare minimum. Hard to justify Labour vote without it.
