The Amur leopard is among the rarest of all leopards and is the most endangered big cat at the Zoo. Although only a few dozen Amur leopards remain in the wild, we have had success in breeding this highly endangered cat. 📸: Amur leopard Samson, who arrived at the Zoo last winter.

On Thursday, I started my morning at a Metro Nashville Waste Services roll call. They cover 40 trash and 190 recycling routes per month, working 12-hour shifts to keep our city clean - in addition to providing other services. I’m grateful for Nashville’s essential workers.

Great meeting today with Lt Governor McNally updating him on Meharry MTSU accelerated physician training program and thanking him for his continued support. First cohort transitions from MTSU to Meharry in June. This program is designed to increase rural physicians in Tennessee.
