Lady Bird Johnson’s “A White House Diary” is one of the best books about life inside the White House. She wrote every day and put a sign in her door: “Mrs. J at work.” Thank God for her. American Experience #VicePresidentPBS

Having the runner up become vice president is one of the strangest parts of our history. Can you imagine that today? Utter chaos. American Experience #VicePresidentPBS

George H.W. Bush and Dick Cheney told me that they believe more works needs to be done to clarify the 25th Amendment. If a president is sick, it’s one thing, but what if a president isn’t fit to serve? American Experience #VicePresidentPBS
