Thank you to our Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management (OEM) Emergency Director Mark Gower for completing the survey assessment as quickly as possible. This necessary step established Northeast Oklahoma's eligibility for a State of Emergency and allowed us to move forward with the declaration this afternoon.

I appreciate Governor Kevin Stitt and Lt. Governor Matt Pinnell spending time in our emergency operations center this morning for briefings on the coordinated disaster response. Grateful for support from state agencies, including Oklahoma Department of Transportation which is working in the field with city crews to remove debris.

The Oklahoma Senate is on the verge of handing half of our state away to the tribes. We must have a fair deal when it comes to tribal compacts. I implore the legislature to make the right decision on Monday.
