Thanks to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change IPCC now we know: From 1880 to 2012, average global temperature increased by 0.85°C. To put this into perspective, for each 1 degree of temperature increase, grain yields decline by about 5 per cent. #FridaysForFuture

Africa contributes just 3% of global greenhouse gas emissions, but many of the worst impacts of climate change are being felt there. I’m committed to working with the global community to match Africa’s climate ambitions with the resources it needs. #AUSummit

Global warming, reaching 1.5°C in the near-term, would cause unavoidable increases in multiple climate hazards and present multiple risks to ecosystems and humans. #ClimateCrisis #LifesBetterWIthTrees and #ClimateAction is possible.

By 2100, many cities across the world could warm as much as 4 degrees Celsius (°C) if GHG emissions continue at high levels – this is more than double the Paris Agreement’s goal of limiting global temperature rise to no more than 1.5°C. #ClimateCrisis #ClimateEmergency
