Once more unto the breach! . Built in 1830 much of the old has been erased - though we have found some historic beauty beneath decades of detritus. We’ll be doing our best 2 preserve & restore what remains. . coffeeangel #9 coming soon. We are very excited! Watch this space… 😬

A slight diversion from preaching about Irish Food, but I need your help😢 ⚠️CRITICAL medical situation: need an urgent (immediate) move to a Dublin (south ideally) apartment. Having serious difficulty in sourcing. Any leads, estate agent, Ministers able to help?? Pls RT! 🙏

I’m thrilled to announce that @Coffeeangel is expanding to a stunning new location just steps from Merrion Square on Dublin’s Lower Mount Street! 🏛️ . It’s been a fascinating journey. We’re a wks away from opening & can’t wait to welcome u to this beautiful & iconic location ☕️💫

Thanks David McWilliams! Incentives would have been welcome🤷🏻‍♂️ But I'm just thrilled & grateful we uncovered and this lovely snapshot of Dublin's historical past. Also discovered the building was damaged during The 1916 Rising. Hoping r efforts ensure its survival long after we're gone

coffeeangel’s restoration works continue on Mount Street Lower. Progress can feel slow. With fear of doing more damage than good to a facade so old. But delighted with our decision to peel away 120 yrs of paint to reveal the beauty & detailing of long-gone Irish craftsman

We’re thrilled to announce that coffeeangel MSL quietly opened this morning! Creating MSL has been one of our most satisfying and rewarding projects yet. Sincere thanks to those who visited us today. And we can't wait to welcome you all to experience our new space! ☕✨

Zero expectation of Irish gov't acknowledging SME challenges in today's budget. Not let down at all. My ambivalence remains. Still committed to our biz succeeding in spite of gov't. Not because of it. #SME #Budget2025 #CoffeeShopLife

We are totally overwhelmed by how great our first week on Mount Street Lower has been! Thanks to everyone for the support 🥰

Delighted to be speaking at 2day's ESG Summit at Croke Park. I'll be sharing coffeeangel's innovative partnership with Bionua & Dunsany Estate, showcasing how 1 small biz's sustainability journey can help carbon reduction (80,000kg this yr) & biodiversity restoration 😱

What a lovely post to read at the end of 2024. coffeeangel’s restoration on Mount Street Lower was a wild leap into the unknown. Though I’d like to think others would have taken a similar approach after uncovering such historic beauty. Thanks Dublin Civic Trust… 😇

Karl Purdy (@karlpurdy) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Here, here Rob Cross! Restoration wasn't part of our original plan. Simply had no idea what was hidden underneath the pretty rough shopfront we inherited. But we quickly realised that what was already there was far more beautiful and relevant than anything we could do... 😇

Karl Purdy (@karlpurdy) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Much appreciated Dee Murphy!!! Dublin has been exceedingly supportive of coffeeangel over the years. We're just trying to do the right thing and where possible give a little back... 😇

Restoration challenges are worth it. coffeeangel’s project proves Ireland’s hidden historic gems await their chance to shine. The overwhelming appreciation shows: preserving our architectural heritage pays off. belfasttelegraph.co.uk/business/food-…
