To me, the issue about the Newfields job post is not the use of “white” to describe their core audience. It’s that the goal is to diversify only if it can be done while “maintaining” white audiences. Inclusive growth requires shifting and reimagining the core, not placating it.

I don't think it's bad for a predominantly white institution (PWI) to honestly acknowledge it's a PWI. But this posting implies they want to STAY a PWI while bringing in BIPOC on the periphery. Which is one definition of maintaining white supremacy.
