I am super excited to see WordPress move towards client-side media processing! Doing this server-side, as WordPress has been doing all this time, has so many limitations in both functionality and reliability, this will be a game changer.

The mega menu plugin Joeleen mentioned is Human Made's open source github.com/humanmade/hm-m… — you may also have seen olliewp.com/introducing-me… lately. Really hope we can get something like this into core eventually, it is such a *huge* boost over classic menus in WP #WCUS

Rephrasing a key takeaway from Joeleen's #WCUS talk: block composition (patterns, variations, etc) can be MUCH more powerful and future-oriented than building a custom block. Going fully custom can feel good in the short term, but staying "close to core" helps with long-term TCO
