Helped pace some friends in a half this weekend, then let it rip for the last four miles. Ran so much easier not focusing on hitting a PR.

Sharing your runs may not seem like much to you, but someone on the other side sees you showing up every day. Your runs or paces will surely resonate with someone else. Share your story — if you motivate even one runner to stick with it, it was worth it. 👊

This is 100% true. Over the past year, I have had multiple faster runners, incl some former collegiate athletes, tell me that my consistency inspired them to get back into running/training

This is just a lack of discipline. Most people who get “injured” from running like this are not fit enough (yet!) to run the way they think they should be. Running a few times a week is not going to wreck your knees unless you’re running too hard for your current fitness.

If your body is giving you a sign, just listen. Had my best training week ever, culminating in a 50 mi trail relay. Knee was feeling a little off, but I decided to send it anyway, and now I’m on the couch for the foreseeable future 😭
