And that's only the beginning.
Under the money bond system, detention hearings were brief. The Pretrial Fairness is ensuring that hearings are more robust. Loyola Chicago Center for Criminal Justice found the length of detention hearings increased after implementation to a median length of 10ā30 minutes.
