Sound engineers. Production staff. The unsung heroes of great TV broadcasts. Watching tonight’s FOX Sports: MLB game is challenging. The songs as they cut to a commercial and then return to the game make it so that one cannot hear what Don Orsillo is saying. Be better, FOX Sports.

Actually, no. The Green Bay Packers-Philadelphia Eagles broadcast on Peacock was worse. Referee mics not connected to the broadcast. Didn’t even sound like there were fans in attendance. Too bad as it was a fun game to watch. But the @redsox ownership still sucks for letting Don Orsillo go.

Hi The Boston Globe Linda Pizzuti Henry. Long-time (+/- 30 years) home delivery subscriber here. Is there a human being in your employ that I may call to find out where my Sunday paper is or if it’s simply running late? Customer service number isn’t staffed on Sundays.

So, here’s a “customer service” odyssey. I used the Globe app to report a delivery issue. It auto-generates a response, indicating I now need to send an email to circulation, which I promptly do. This, in turn creates, another auto-reply. Pictured below.

The customer service number listed below isn’t staffed on Sundays but a lovely chatbot voice told me I was a valued subscriber. So I got that going for me, which is nice. 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

What I love the most about this entire experience is that I will not receive any sort of follow-up from The Boston Globe or Linda Pizzuti Henry. But I’m a valued subscriber…

Here I am again, watching a game and wondering why the broadcast audio is so poor, especially given the resources of the owner Amazon #JeffBezos. NFL on Prime Video: can we get the refs miked up to hear the calls?

Recent convo: team sport practices that don’t run on schedule, w/athletes chastised for not being a “team” player if they leave on time. Coaches: your player is on several teams, 1st being FAMILY. What message does it send when you don’t know how to be respectful of that?
