This afternoon, the new Legal Migration Minister, Seema Malhotra MP, spoke positively about supporting the growth and contribution of the travel and tourism sectors to the UK economy. Hearing her talk about the importance of industry/government collaboration was also encouraging.

An honour to give my maiden speech as #Eastbourne’s MP, where I: 👶👶Called on the Government to scrap the two-child benefit cap 👦🏾🧓🏻Shared my family’s story of why Eastbourne is the most compassionate place there is. 🏖️Competed with Nigel Farage on the size of our piers…😂

These are riots not protests. Targetting people of colour, attacking mosques, looting shops & setting fire to asylum hotels are not the actions of people with “legitimate concerns.” Criminals must face the full force of the law. Britain is better than this.

Great day 2 of the ABTA Members visit to Port of Dover to see the extensive prep for EES whenever it comes in. Huge thanks to Emma Ward for the tour—great to see the scale of work already done to be as ready as possible. ABTA’s efforts continue to prepare members for launch.
