A day off work as we've still got workmen in. So today will be a day of sitting on my backside, knitting, eating and watching comfort tv. Starting with Poirot, murder in mestopotamia, absolute bliss ☺️

Someone please send tea and snacks, lots of them. Zero sleep, bloody none!

I quite harshly 'pruned' this hebe last year as it was getting a bit woody. It seems to have liked it as it's come back amazingly and it's filled with pollinators 🐝

6 hours straight sanding then painting and I'm officially goosed. I'm now sat in the garden enjoying a cold one and reading my book 😊

Today has mainly consisted of watching the Olympics and Aussie crime drama Deadloch and knitting. So quite a productive day for not doing a great deal 🧶📺

A new book to start. I simply adore Hercule Poirot with his ridiculous moustaches and sense of self importance. I love how you get little names and dates of previous owners in second hand books, it's like little clues to former lives 🙂📚 #AgathaChristie

There's many reasons I don't watch the news: 5 mins watching breakfast tv & it seems the #NorthEast has the largest area of those with no access to digital devices, folk are the lowest paid & ⬆️ domestic violence for women & ⬆️ wait times for an autistic diagnosis - just sad!

First visit to the plot for a long time. I've not been able to get myself there physically or mentally and I've thought seriously about giving it up. We've managed to make good headway today and it's such a relief. Sometimes things outside the home just aren't attainable 😔
