#RepKristeyWilliams cannot really be preaching about funding accountability, is she??! She wants to give #Vouchers (public tax dollars) to private schools with no accountability!! #ksed #ksleg

Rep Dave Younger, a former Supt in Ulysses, now referencing an excellent handout from KASEA that is on each #ksleg desk. Younger has been vocal on #FullyFundSPED all session. He calls SB 387 calculations “voodoo math.”

Here is the vote rejecting SB 427, a bad bill that was an unwarranted intrusion into local control and would've created chaos at local school board meetings. Again, thank you senators who voted NO #ksleg #ksed

This is the result of a rules change made in 2021, pushed by Rep. Boog Highberger, D-Lawrence. It took the #ksleg IT staff three years to work out the logistics of it, so it started with HB 2494 this year.

Rep Thompson, who I’m running against this year, voted no on fully funding special education. We will hold these folks accountable this year with your support: secure.actblue.com/donate/matchma… #ksleg

Have you contacted your House Representative yet to tell them to oppose House Substitute for SB 387? It was moved favorably for passage this morning, but the vote sounded close. It could be voted on final action later today or tomorrow. #ksleg #ksed

Today in the #ksleg the Chairperson of the K-12 Education Budget Committee compared educators to teenage drivers who need rules and regulations. Another attempt to discredit educators/ justify bad policy. We can do better than this. Pass a clean funding bill. #ksed

You can be a Republican or Democrat and still choose to support your community public school. Representative Younger has walked the walk. His expertise and experience should be considered. Put your communities first. Help us help our students. #ksed #ksleg

Sen. @EthanCorson asks, Why can’t we hold a public vote on bills that have broad, bipartisan support – like eliminating taxes on social security income? The answer: Republican leadership is holding tax relief for Kansas families hostage. #ksleg
