These people that say they are seeking the "truth" will promote & interview people that have no data (or misrepresent it), while ignoring the people that do have the data & expertise. It seems to be because it goes against what they WANT to be true. How is that seeking truth?

Had a little uptick in followers lately (thanks to MoundLore). Currently finishing my dissertation, so not sharing as much news but I specialize in SE North America and have worked on several mound sites, including Poverty Point and Spiro. Happy to answer any questions.

I have not been getting all my notifications again. Apologies if you have asked something or reached out to me and I haven't responded. Trying to find things I may have missed

Race is a social construct. This is a pretty clear example of racist ideologies trying to interpret the data differently (or just make it up). I separate rocks into different categories (Boone, Ft. Payne, etc.). The stones are different but the categories are social constructs.

With all the new investigations/discussions about chambers that went on over the weekend, did any of them talk about the echochamber they seem to be stuck in?

Working on a chapter of my diss. An extensive part of it is about stone sourcing - including pXRF and tracing fluvial deposits to see where & how cobbles are being transported. This goes in distinguishing between if some were traded or locally available.

FYI: The ramp is not the same as earlier surveys suggest. It is re-designed for stability. I have worked on this project. My wife was the archaeologist at Winterville for a year. My MA advisor conducted excavations there for over a decade. MoundLore
