The Grade 2 students in Mr. Kroetsch's class completed their unit on owls by dissecting owl pellets. Students has a real hands-on experience as they discovered what bones could be found inside!

The Grade 5 students had a great time at the Joseph Teres School Volleyball Tournament yesterday! A big congratulations to all our volleyball participants, and a big "Thank You" to our Grade 8 John W. Gunn Middle School volunteers for helping to run the tournament.

Our Grade 5 Street Patrols enjoyed a fun morning at Wheelies Roller Rink yesterday as a reward for their hard work and dedication to keep the students at Joseph Teres School safe. Thank you street patrols!

Why be a bookworm when you can be a Book Dragon! The students at Joseph Teres School are celebrating I Love to Read Month by being Book Dragons, and flying through the pages. We are close to completing our dragon as students continue to add scales!

He Ho! Our students celebrated Festival du Voyageur with some traditional songs from Morgan Grace Music. They clapped along as the band played, and were taught about the differences between a fiddle and a violin.

Our JT gymnastics team cartwheeled, danced, and somersaulted their hearts out during their Super Mario themed performance at this week's RETSD Tumbling Rally. A huge Thank You to everyone whose hard work made the event possible!

The students at Joseph Teres School learned how to be "eco superheroes", and how to take care of the environment, thanks to an interactive presentation from the organization Climate Change Connection.

JT celebrated Music Monday with a few musical events. First, the whole school gathered in the gym to sing and dance to a Taylor Swift / Barbie mash up. Then the Grade 5 and 5/4 students went to TCI Transcona Collegiate to perform as part of a cohort of schools celebration. Stay musical!

This week the students at Joseph Teres School participated in our annual talent show! From singing to guitar, dancing to martial arts, our students sure showed that "Joseph Teres School's Got Talent!" A huge Thank You to Mrs. Klassen, Mr. Gough and Mrs. Friesen.

The students at Joseph Teres School kicked off their Terry Fox fundraising drive with a presentation from Terry Fox Foundation Ambassador Meryem Bouhaddou, who showed the students a replica of the artificial leg that Terry used on his Marathon of Hope! Terry Fox Foundation

Today we held our Boscars ceremony (think the Oscars but for books). Students (and Teachers) dressed up in their Oscar worthy clothes as Tyler Magz from VirginRadioWinnipeg hosted the awards for best books as chosen by the students, complete with a dance party and sing along.
