Pujols and Beltran basically played the baseball version of a game of horse trying to one up one another during the NLCS. Beltran put up an obscene 1.521 ops in it and Pujols somehow topping him with a 1.563 series OPS. Just incredible to watch.

Donavan’s last season WAR of 2.9 tied 9 other players for 81st among position players. His 119 wrc+ ranked 53rd among qualified hitters. Donavan is a solid, good player but it’s not a crime against humanity to not consider him one of the 100 best players in the game.
