TIP: when reviewing a prediction model study, start by searching for these words: - sample size - calibration - missing data - TRIPOD Failure to mention these is heavily linked with a poor quality study. Most studies fail to mention at least one of these, & many ignore all.

A msg from #WCEpi2021 co-chair Linda Slack-Smith, "This is a unique opportunity to hear from & engage with colleagues interested in epi internationally. I doubt we can truly engage in epidemiology/public health w/o understanding the global context; COVID-19 has demonstrated that."

Can we stop calling labour ward ‘DELIVERY suite’?! It is where women and birthing people labour and give birth! They’re not couriers with a package 📦

Prof Ross Andrews, Sr Epi Queensland Health, presents COVID-flu-RSV trends extracted just hours ago. Near real-time reporting of state-level health data is an invaluable resource achieved from the COVID response. Timely information is powerful & needed across more health indicators.
