Each year, the crew selects one member that has shown exceptional leadership during the previous fire season to receive the Lead by Example Award. The 2024 winner was Michael Tilton, a Task Force Coordinator out of Burkburnett. He has supported in-state responses for four years.

Caitlin Castro represented RWFM at the first TAMU College of Agriculture & Life Sciences 👍 Undergraduate Research Symposium. As floodwaters continue to impact the Hill Country, 20 members of AgriLife Extension, including Disaster Assessment and Recovery agents and County Extension Agents, mobilized over the weekend to support Kerr County. (1/4)

While we struggle to grasp the magnitude of the loss felt by so many of our fellow Texans and offer up our prayers for the victims and their families, the brave men and women from across the A&M System were risking their lives to save others caught in dangerous flooding.

A statement from Board of Regents Chairman Robert Albritton on behalf of the A&M System Board of Regents regarding the ongoing response and recovery efforts in Central Texas.

Working with Texas Division of Emergency Management, the Disaster Assessment and Recovery agents conducted assessments at residential and other properties along the Guadalupe River today. Efforts are ongoing, and Texans are encouraged to report damages with the iSTAT at damage.tdem.texas.gov.
