On Thursday, July 3rd, 2025, in Calabar, HE, the Executive Governor of Cross River State, Bassey Edet Otu officially flagged off the 30 million seedlings coffee plantation in Cross River, a partnership project between Cross River State Government and JR Farms Group. 1/4 #CoffeeNGR

Within the framework of this partnership, a month-long farmers' enumeration and onboarding process was conducted across the 18 local governments of the State, with more than 11,000 farmers onboarded for coffee farming, mostly women farmers. 2/4

JR Farms Group will be working with the State to train farmers on best agronomy practices, ethical practices, and the economics of coffee. We will be building coffee washing stations in strategic clusters across the State and off-taking coffee from the farmers.
