Today, the Board ruled that, going forward, an employer will violate the National Labor Relations Act by requiring employees to attend captive-audience meetings in which the employer expresses its views on unionization under threat of discipline/discharge. nlrb.gov/news-outreach/…

The NLRB just banned companies nationwide from holding anti union "captive audience" meetings. Amazon spent ~$17 million b/w 2022-2023 on consultants hired to convince its workers against unionizing. The ruling will likely be reversed under Trump. washingtonpost.com/business/2024/…

Several prominent US journalists and newsroom leaders are making statements in support of AP re: targeting by Trump administration. Some of these same folks said little to nothing in the last 17 months about killing of 100+ Palestinian journalists by US-backed Israeli forces.
