Developers and engineers aren’t always known for their social skills. But “soft skills” are what make you stand out and rapidly advance in your career. Try this to communicate better: Deliberately slow down your thinking and speaking. Don’t let yourself feel rushed in a

It's incredible how often I write down a goal or intention on paper somewhere... then randomly come across it like 1 year later, and I've done it... and I'd completely forgotten about the piece of paper. The subconscious mind is powerful.

Lately I found myself getting into a bad habit again of looking at my phone when I wake up, and then wasting the start of the day. So last night, I turned off my phone and put it in a drawer in another room. Now my morning is back on track.

What’s the biggest challenge you’re facing right now? How much of it is in your control? For the part that is in your control, what actions are you taking to change it?

As a data engineer, if I had a dollar for every time I hear "how difficult is it to..." I wouldn't need to be a data engineer anymore...

4 beliefs I have that help me to live a happier life: - Everything happens to me as it's meant to - Every moment is a unique experience and special - Struggles that are holding me back now are just part of my growth in the bigger picture - I become what I focus on repeatedly

I overlooked the value of mentors for a very long time. I thought I could figure out everything by myself. Now I realise this approach takes way longer than necessary. It's so much faster to just get someone who's qualified to explain things. Mentors are shortcuts to success.

Make it harder for yourself to use your phone. Start a habit of putting it out of sight when you're not using it. It's amazing how much time I got back in my day after doing this.

Action leads to more action. I keep learning this lesson over and over again. Struggling to take action and stuck in planning mode? Close all of your plans and lists and just start doing stuff, no matter how small. This builds momentum. Everything will start feeling easier.
