The wolf’s howl is often more appealing than the bleating of the sheep or the shepherd’s call. But it leads to death. Don’t trade the gospel for the culture war.

I have a young adult in my church that has a family member involved in New Age/crystals/Mother Earth stuff. I am looking for some biblical recourses that I can give to her regarding that. It is honestly one area I have not felt with much in my experience. Any ideas?

Some words of encouragement that I wrote for the Saints at Redeemer. Thought you might as well be encouraged by them as well. No matter the sorrow, your savior is never far off.

“I Need Thee Precious Jesus” by Fredrick Whitfield I need Thee, precious Jesus! For I am full of sin; My soul is dark and guilty, My spirit dead within: I need the cleansing fountain, Where I can always flee: The blood of Christ most precious, The sinner’s perfect plea.

Just checking in with Twitter to make sure that I’m not missing anything culturally I should be preaching about tomorrow? My current text is 2nd Timothy 4:1-5 where Paul admonishes Timothy to “Preach the Word,” but I realize that was way back then. Let me know yall.

Today is the Lord’s Day and maybe you don’t feel like gathering this morning. Perhaps it’s pain, fatigue, grief or anxiety. My friend, do not allow that to stop you from receiving the grace that is yours in Christ. Gather and know the love that Jesus and His people have for you.

Preaching “fit-check.” Also, actual fit check. Sporting a new flannel this morning and current weight loss. Preaching Christ today because there is nothing better to preach!

I wanted to inform the rabble rousers on this site that there was no mention of any cultural goings on in today’s sermon. The Word was preached. Nobody left, because our people know what the Lord’s Day is for. I regret nothing. I will do it again next Sunday. Carry on. 👊🏻

On this day October 6th, in the year of our Lord 2025, let it be known that the work truck heater was used for the first time. Praise the Lord above.

Hey! I found the other guy that went the opposite direction most do (presby to Baptist). We a couple of white whales here. And yes, I agree with the association part. The Baptist answer is Networks, which I have found can be very helpful in the right one.
