Of all the things Solomon could have asked for to help him lead his people, he asks for an "understanding heart" or "a heart that listens" (1 Kings 3:9): Not a mind that thinks. Not a spirit that doesn't shrink. Not a will that doesn't break. But a heart that listens.

Coaching is made up of three parts/actions: 1. Going before 2. Walking alongside 3. Drawing out If at any point, the coach becomes the primary person in the relationship…Coaching stops.
