I also asked Cursor how long it would have taken a human to just research, write out and iterate on our implementation plan before we even started writing code. We did this in LESS than 30 minutes. Bullish.

I feel like this is part of the thesis for CTRL + SHIFT. I think it’ll become one of the best places to hire or find work in the Toronto AI industry.

As skills get transferred to the machine, the meta-skill becomes knowing which skills exist and what machines to use. I still talk to people every day who simply don’t know what state of the art AI models can do. And I think that’s a product / service opportunity in and out of

I just downloaded the new open source OpenAI gpt-oss AI model and tried ollama for the first time. The model is running 100% locally on my computer without any connection to the internet. Of course this is the first thing I ask it. Should we be concerned?

Step 1: let them have a taste for $1 per year Step 2: they become dependant on the product Step 3: slowly raise price to $100 per user / month Step 4: rinse and repeat with other sectors

Couldn’t be happier about my decision to go all-in on Vercel Next.js shadcn I was going to spend a week building this, but internet saints like Ibelick make it 1000x faster. You can literally snap your fingers and have a fully-working multi-model AI app. Insane.

I'm not interested in content that WASN'T created with AI The most powerful creative force in human history arrived on the scene and you just...did everything exactly as before??!! And decided you're morally superior because of it? What a tragic failure of imagination

Nobody wants to hear this, but building wrappers with high quality UX on top of foundation models is an extremely good business model. For all OpenAI does, UX is not their strong suit.

Another example of why I’m so glad I went all-in on the Vercel ecosystem for building AI products. Guillermo Rauch and his team is second to none. AI SDK and AI gateway are literally all you need to build incredible AI products today.
