Great news for public school families—the Senate parliamentarian tossed Betsy DeVos’s private school voucher scheme out of the “big beautiful bill.” It’s going to be far harder for her to use a billionaire tax shelter to ram vouchers into Michigan and other states that said no.

Wow. How desperate is the DeVos voucher lobby for a federal voucher win? They just agreed to *kill* language that would’ve kept the Feds from regulating private/religious schools. And gave states opt-in and oversight of voucher middlemen. WAY more regs than state versions.
