A major new funding row has erupted after the Welsh Government accepted a decision of its UK counterpart to allow an English ministry to administer the latest post-Brexit aid round for Wales ✍️Martin Shipton wp.me/p8Mk4U-11fD

✨ After centuries, abortion is finally decriminalised in the UK! 💥💪 Huge shoutout to Lib Dem Women for their small but mighty campaign to get our MPs in the chamber and voting for what’s right. 💛 63 Lib Dem MPs said YES. Thank you. 💛 bbc.com/news/articles/…

I had the opportunity to attend the Christian Aid parliamentary drop-in marking their 80th anniversary to see how the UK can do our fair share on climate & debt action. We must support those in poverty who are trapped in climate change & debt crises.

New Welsh Government rules will hit cross-border farms hard, with high testing costs and no movement even for vaccinated livestock. Today, I asked the DEFRA Minister what steps he was taking to address the situation. 👇

Wales' longest waiting lists spike after 4 months of falls. First Minister Eluned Morgan had set a target for March but as soon that passed, lists risen. Atrocious. The overall amount of waits across the whole of Wales went down by just 91 to 789,929

"Be grateful for the scraps we are giving you" - an astonishingly arrogant reply from the Labour Minister when questioned on Welsh rail funding. Labour are totally out of touch with the Welsh public and the needs of our economy!🥀

A treasury minister has told a Welsh MP he should be 'a little bit more grateful' for the railway funding Wales received in the UK Government's recent spending review ✍️ Emily Price nation.cymru/news/treasury-…

Wow. Wales needs to be “a little bit more grateful” for the rail funding it has been allocated by the UK Government nation.cymru/news/treasury-…

Treasury minister tells Wales to "be grateful" for the money given to it over rail funding. It shows total disconnect with reality. For the record, the Treasury's own figures show Wales is getting £350m compared to Scotland's £4bn!

Wales is the poorest of the four nations - significantly. Investment in our infrastructure would boost productivity and deliver much needed economic growth. I will keep fighting for increased infrastructure spending in Wales. nation.cymru/news/treasury-…

How to sum up the government’s approach to Wales in one image? Why should people in Wales be ‘grateful’ when it’s impossible to get from the north to the south of our own nation by rail without having to go through England? When the lines we do have are plagued by delays?

Here’s the mind boggling moment a treasury minister told a Welsh MP he should be ‘a little more grateful’ for the rail funding the UK Government allocated to Wales in the recent spending review.

The government needs to publish any legal advice received around involvement in the conflict with Iran. The last thing we need is for the UK to be dragged into another illegal war in the Middle East by the US.

Vicky Foxcroft is the first Labour MP to quit government over proposed changes to benefits - “which include cuts to disabled people's finances". "I do not believe that cuts to personal independence payment (PIP) and the health element of UC should be part of the solution."

It was great to see progress on the Pentwyn Skatepark today. It feels so much bigger than the old one and will hopefully inspire the next generation of skaters on our community. Well done to my colleague Cllr Dan Naughton for securing the funding for this project
