Excited to share an article I co-authored with fellow co-founders of Black and Brown in Bioethics, @harleen_johal and Matimba, on how EDI recommendations need to be bolder to achieve racial equity in bioethics! #blackbrownbioethics tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.10…

To all my silent Jewish brothers & sisters, Remember when our ancestors were taken off to the gas chambers & the world stood by & did nothing? How did u feel? That’s how Palestinians & people of conscience feel about our silence regarding Israel’s genocide of the Palestinians.

There’s still time to register for our upcoming workshop! A great opportunity to meet other bioethics ECRs in the region and build networks for future collaboration.

Consent rates for organ donation in 2015/16: WHITE families 66%, ETHNIC MINORITY 34%. Fast forward 8 years; WHITE families 65%, ETHNIC MINORITY 32%. Discussion points: 1) has opt-out done anything? 2) why are we failing with ethnic minorities? 3) do we need a new approach?

A fantastic day so far to learn and share good practice. It’s been a great opportunity to understand the ethics and frameworks that guide our decisions. The breakout room have been an excellent way to share our experiences and meet national colleagues 📚Jordan A. Parsons 🍉

We learn more from reading on paper than on screens. 54 studies, 171k people: we process print more deeply than digital content—as long as it's informational rather than purely narrative. The paper advantage holds across ages and has grown over time. Long live physical books.
