Lundberg... "Parents are Outsiders" Think about this... The Literacy Success Act took retention decisions out of the hands of parents and school staff. Where is parent choice there? Where does that responsibility push parents, students, and schools?

Mike Winstead well done today, sir! Vouchers are a "poison pill" that we don't want and #ALEC is buying! Know that a reckoning is coming and the dark money folks will be impossible to find. There's a mess to clean up in Nashville! #Conservative? This ain't it! TOSS

A new fourth grade promotion gateway has passed. I’m thankful for that. However, almost all TN 3rd and 4th grade students and teachers spent last week worrying over the ramifications of the assessment. I’m glad we have supports in place, but we need the rules before the EOY.

The Jefferson County Schools Central Office Team had a great time visiting schools this week to show our appreciation to the amazing educators throughout each of our campuses! Thank you for sharing some time (and a couple of donuts) with us. You truly are amazing and appreciated!

The Jefferson County Board of School Commissioners just UNANIMOUSLY passed a resolution OPPOSING Governor Lee’s proposed voucher scheme. They recognize that the so-called “Education Freedom Scholarship Act of 2025” is TOTALLY irresponsible.
