En reell kritikk må vurdere hva Norge gjorde og oppnådde som leder av Giverlandsgruppen. Som alle andre stater, fastholdt Norge støtten til 2statsløsningen og ledet samarbeidet om fortsatt statsbygging for å bevare fundamentet for løsningen. Det ga Norge bred anerkjennelse.

I artikkelen redegjør jeg for faktafeil om amerikansk politikk, om bistanden, om norsk kontaktpolitikk, om "bærebjelkene" som "ble fullstendig utradert". Jeg gir en fremstilling av hva Norge faktisk gjorde. Dette er en faglig kritikk av forskningsanalyse og metode.

@JJensehaugens forslag til alternativ politikk er uforståelig. Hvordan skulle Søreide ført en politikk som ikke har flertall i Stortinget? At Norge som første og eneste stat skulle gitt opp 2statsløsningen, ville vært et svik mot palestinerne og egentlig mot begge folk.
