Reflecting on @KathrynCanonsOn’s wonderful summary of Holy Week to the Southwark Cathedral lay staff on Wednesday and remembering the spark for liturgy and music that was lit at my first Good Friday at Exeter Cathedral as a 19 y/o choral scholar. 12 years on… still doing it.

Private school is around 10 THOUSAND A TERM. You CANNOT "make a few sacrifices"/"work hard" and have a spare THIRTY THOUSAND A YEAR <per child!> It is a complete myth and I cannot stand to hear it ONE MORE TIME. It's not "normal families working hard" and "prioritising education"
