100 years ago, at around this time (3:45), on 29 August 1925 at Griffin Park, in a Football League Division 3 (South) game, centre forward Jack Allen became the first Brentford player to score a goal wearing a red & white striped shirt.

When Brentford signed Jimmy Gabriel in March 1974, it was first transfer to use the league’s new facsimile machine to complete it. Ann Lamb had the distinction of loading the documents into the new apparatus, which were sent to the League’s HQ in Lytham St Annes in Lancashire.

Reiss is Brentford’s 3rd Nelson after Stuart (2004-07) and Dave (1947-50). Both made over 100 apps. Previous players wearing squad no 11 include Marcus Gyale, Robert Taylor, Andy Scott, Glenn Poole, Myles Weston, Marcello Trotta, Will Grigg & Ollie Watkins.
